Los Angeles based lighting artist. 💡 I was a Lighting Artist on the Nintendo Switch game Metroid Prime Remastered (2023).
I'm currently a Lighting Artist at a studio in Santa Monica that supports one of the largest battle royale video games. I work in both rendered and real-time lighting. I hold a BFA in Animation & Entertainment Art from California State University, Fullerton and have also studied traditional painting. I am experienced in lighting in Unreal Engine 4, Unreal Engine 5, Maya, and have also worked in proprietary software. My area of focus is lighting for video games and animated films and the compositing that goes along with it. I use the artist handle 3dCassidy across multiple platforms. I've loved video games and animation for as long as I can remember. From Ursula scaring me in the theater watching The Little Mermaid on its release, to firing up Wario Land on my first Game Boy brick, to being a totally enthralled kid seeing 3D animation for the first time in Toy Story on Thanksgiving day 1995 (with a bunch of a adults that thought this computer animation thing would never take off), I've always wanted to be a part of the visual storytelling and the computer wizardry.
